Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed a committee of five members to investigate regarding the island-wide power failure which occurred in 25th February.

The committee has been ordered to make enquiries and provide a report within 4 weeks.

The power failure on 25th February was the second island-wide power failure to hit the country in less than five months.
