Sri Lanka Freedom Party General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake said that he will take part in the UNP 70th anniversary rally to be held tomorrow.

Speaking at a public meeting in Kandy, he said that the UNP General Secretary Kabir Hashim invited him and Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe to take part in the event and that there was no reason to reject the invitation.

Dissanayake also said that the recent SLFP 65th anniversary was a resounding success despite the obstacles thrown at it by the 'Joint Opposition'. Its success was a lesson to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, he added.
