The individual arrested for operating a fake Facebook profile of the IGP was further remanded today by Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris till September 15.

CID reported that the investigations pertaining to the individual has not been completed.

The fake account was created by a person named Weeraseka Aarachchige Rajitha Madhushan Weerasekara who is residing in News Zealand. The suspect was arrested at the Katunayake airport upon his arrival on September 5.
