The travel bans imposed on five individuals regarding the recent abduction and murder of a businessman from Bambalapitiya were ordered to be lifted today by Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris.
The five individuals were barred from foreign travel on the request made by the CCD. They were not suspects in the crime, but the CCD made the request based on preliminary inquiries.
Several people were later taken into custody regarding the crime and are now in remand custody.
Mohommad Suleiman was abducted on the night of August 21 and his body was discovered a few days later from Mawanella.
