Air Traffic Controllers' Association of Sri Lanka said that their members were launching a work to rule campaign from this afternoon due to the discriminatory treatment they were being given by the Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka.
In a statement released today, the ATCASL said that the other officials have increased their salaries and allowances without considering or consulting the air traffic controllers.
Meanwhile they have denied due recognition for their work within the company, the ATCASL complained.
They said that they have conducted discussions with the management of the company with little success. It has left them no alternative but to initiate a trade union action, the ATCASL said.
