The newly built second bulk vessel of Ceylon Shipping Corporation named ‘Mv. Ceylon Princess’, which was constructed in AVIC International shipyard at Wehai, China reached Colombo Port today. A special ceremony was organized to receive the new ship.Arjuna Ranatunga, Minister of Ports and Shipping was present at the event.
This vessel was built alongside its sister ship Mv. Ceylon Breeze, which was delivered early this year on 20 January having almost same specifications. Both ships were bought during last regime.
The vessel is 199.813 metres long, 32.251 metres wide and has the carrying capacity of 63,212 metric tons.
