The parliament canteen has found itself in the news this week for several health and safety violations. A journalist covering parliament today is said to have found a long jute thread in a sprat curry served in the press canteen. The offending thread has since been handed over to the staff of the parliament housekeeping.

Meanwhile, two policemen on duty at the parliament reportedly fell violently ill after consuming food from the parliament staff canteen this week. It was found that the fish curry had been contaminated leading to food poisoning.
