Employees of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation have accused the company of mismanagement and wasteful spending. According to their claims, a jeep belonging to the corporation has been kept at another location for over two years purportedly for repairs, with an astounding 2.6 million rupees spent on the endeavor.

Despite assurances from higher officials that the engine of the jeep had been repaired, the employees contend that the vehicle remains inoperable, breaking down on its first use. They further argue that the exorbitant amount spent on repairs could have been used to purchase a functional, used vehicle of the same type.

Adding to their grievances, the employees highlight similar cases of mismanaged funds on three other vehicles owned by the corporation. Demanding a thorough investigation into these alleged transactions, they call on the authorities to address the issue promptly and ensure accountability within the company.
