Two murders have been reported in the Ratnapura and Lunugala areas.

In Ratnapura's Dodampe area, a 32-year-old man was fatally beaten with a sharp weapon. Police suggest the attack stemmed from an argument.
Meanwhile, in Lunugala, a 36-year-old woman was killed while bathing in a river, with authorities attributing her death to a family dispute involving her husband.

Investigations are ongoing in both cases.
