Anuruddha Shanaka Bandara has been elected as the new President of the Sri Lanka Boxing Association (BASL). The election, held at the Association's headquarters on Tuesday evening, marked the first vote for new office bearers in 22 years.

Bandara secured the presidency with 10 votes, defeating his opponent, former Vice President Wasantha Kumara, who received five votes.  DIG Saman Gunaratne was chosen as the new Secretary of the Association.
