A 19-year-old male died last night after  jumping from a flyover onto the Outer Circular Highway in Colombo. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. near the 1.2 km post, where the youth fell onto the expressway and collided with a car heading towards Matara.

The victim, a resident of Athurugiriya and a student at a private university in Padukka, was critically injured and later pronounced dead at Homagama Base Hospital. Police suspect that the boy may have attempted to take his own life, as a note indicating such intentions was found at his home.

The car involved in the collision was damaged, and the driver has been arrested for further investigation. The police are treating the incident as occurring under suspicious circumstances.
