Ranil Leaves For England To Take Part In Conservative Party Conference

UNP National Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe left for England to take part in the Conservative Party Conference in Birmingham. He is taking part in the conference at the invitation of the Conservative Party.

The conference, which starts today, will conclude on October 1. Wickremesinghe is expected to be in England for a few more days following the conference.

The newly elected UNP members of the Uva Provincial Council are scheduled to take their oaths in the presence of Wickremeshinghe after his return.

Conservative Party of the UK is currently the larger partner of the governing coalition in the United Kingdom. Both the UNP and the Conservative Party are members of the International Democrat Union, an organization of conservative parties around the world.
