A private secretary to former MP Lohan Ratwatte has been found dead with gunshot injuries at a house in Katugastota, Kandy. According to the police, the incident took place in a house near an office linked to Ratwatte.

Update 3.20 p.m.

The police said it is suspected to be a suicide. The 50-year-old died after being admitted to the Kandy National Hospital. Katugastota Police are conducting further investigations.
