The Meteorology Department said that heavy showers and thundershowers are expected in several regions, including the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Western provinces, and the Trincomalee district.

Heavy rainfall exceeding 100 mm is anticipated in some areas of the Southern province. Additionally, showers are expected in other parts of the island during the evening or night, with fairly heavy rainfall of over 50 mm possible in certain locations.
