Breaking: Johnston Fernando Granted Bail

Former Minister Johnston Fernando, who was in remand custody over a case involving an illegally assembled vehicle allegedly belonging to him and found parked at a star-class hotel, was granted bail today by the Fort Magistrate’s Court.

He was brought to the Fort Magistrate’s Court for trial this morning (30). Fernando had been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for possessing the illegally assembled luxury vehicle and was initially remanded until today by the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.
