Sri Lanka's inflation rate continued to decline in October, with the Central Bank reporting a headline deflation of 0.8% year-on-year, down from a 0.5% deflation in September.
The non-food category saw a significant increase in deflation, with a 1.6% decrease in October compared to a 0.5% decline in September. In contrast, the food category shifted from deflation to inflation, experiencing a 1.0% rise in October after a 0.3% deflation in the previous month.
