The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) says that its bus services will operate as usual to ensure voters can travel to polling stations for today's Parliamentary election.
SLTB Chairman Ramal Siriwardena said that all depot directors have been notified to maintain regular services, with over 1,300 buses allocated for election-related duties.
However, the Sri Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association said that private bus services will be somewhat limited, with approximately 3,000 buses scheduled to operate.
Meanwhile, the Department of Railways also assured the public that train services will continue as normal during the election period.
