Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation Bimal Rathnayake has been appointed as the Leader of the House. 

Furthermore, Minister of Health and Media Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has been appointed as the Chief Government Whip

These appointments were made during the inaugural Cabinet meeting chaired by the President today (19).
