Malayalam cinema icons Mammootty and Mohanlal have begun filming their much-anticipated reunion project, tentatively titled Megastar 429, in Sri Lanka. This marks their first on-screen collaboration in over 11 years, following their appearance in the 2012 anthology film Karmayodha.

Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, renowned for his gripping narratives, the film sees Mammootty in the lead role, while Mohanlal makes a special cameo appearance. Shooting commenced in a scenic beach area about 35 kilometres from Colombo, with the picturesque setting promising to enhance the visual grandeur of the film.
