The Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) has also instructed their dealers island-wide to sell oil at the revised rates.
Accordingly all LIOC filling stations in the country will sell Petrol (92 Octane) at Rs 117 and Petrol (95 Octane) at Rs 128.00. Diesel at Rs 95.00, Super Diesel at 110.00, and Kerosene at Rs 65.
Asian Mirror earlier reported that several LIOC filling stations refused to sell oil at the new rates which took effect from last night (22).
Ministry of Power and Energy earlier told media that few individual incidents have been reported following the fuel price reductions. The Ministry has also announced four hotline numbers (0115243243/ 0115455130/ 0115455251/ 0115455254) to gather information in this regard.
