SLFP Treasurer and Minister of Labour S. B. Nawinne crossed over to the United National Party.

UNP Media Spokeman Akila Viraj Kariyawasam told Asian Mirror that Nawinne will hold a press conference tomorrow morning in Kurunegala.

The decision to grant nomination from UPFA to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is said to be the immediate reason for Nawinne's crossover.
