UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha stated that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is not being imposed any conditions on contesting elections.

 

Speaking at a media conference in Colombo today, Premajayantha said there is no condition on Rajapaksa to contest only in Hambantota District.

 

Meanwhile, he insisted that there are no factions in the party and President Maithripala Sirisena will lead the party in his capacity as Chairman.

 

Journalists raised the question if prominent SLFP members will not be given nominations as it was reported. SLFP General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said that certain people will not get nominations. However, he refused to name them.
