A protest has been launched near SLFP Headquarters at Darley Road, Colombo, demanding nomination for former UPFA Parliamentarian Duminda Silva.
It was earlier reported that Duminda Silva will not be given nomination from the UPFA.
Speaking to media yesterday at the Mahaweli Centre, he said that he is being denied nominations unfairly, since other former MPs that have been accused of various misdeeds have been given nominations.
Silva also claimed that he was ready to resign from parliament if the accusations against him are proved to be true.
