Power supply in parts of Kamburupitiya, Matara was disrupted for several hours after a man climbed a high-voltage electricity transmission tower following a dispute with his wife, according to local reports.
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) disconnected the electricity supply to the affected area as a precaution after being alerted to the incident.
The man later climbed down from the transmission tower safely, following which the CEB restored the power supply to the area.
