NPP Local Councillor Arrested over CCTV Camera Damage

An elected member of the Vadamarachchi Pradeshiya Sabha representing the National People’s Power (NPP) has been arrested by Nelliady Police over the alleged damage caused to a security camera at the residence of a retired government official.

The arrest followed a complaint lodged by the former official. Police officers who visited the scene detained those allegedly involved and took them to the police station for questioning.

They were later released on police bail and ordered to appear before court today (31).
