President Wickremesinghe Announces Rs. 11,250 Million Allocation through Decentralized Budget After 3-Year Hiatus

President Ranil Wickremesinghe addressed the District Coordination Committee meeting at the Presidential Secretariat today, unveiling plans to allocate Rs. 11,250 million through the Decentralized Budget. The announcement marks the end of a three-year hiatus in such allocations, signifying a renewed commitment to regional development.

President Wickremesinghe expressed his dedication to bolstering local initiatives and empowering district administrations. The allocated funds are slated for release to District Secretaries in the first week of January, injecting much-needed financial support into grassroots projects and regional development endeavors.
