Girandurukotte Resident Wins Record Rs. 629.8 Million in Historic Lottery Draw

A resident of Girandurukotte has won the largest cash prize in Sri Lanka’s lottery history, the Development Lotteries Board (DLB) announced.

The record-breaking win was secured in the latest draw of the ‘Kapruka’ lottery, which is marketed and operated by the DLB.

According to the DLB, the winning ticket was sold by Girandurukotte lottery sales agent Rathnasiri Soysa.

The first prize amounts to Rs. 629,855,919.60 — exceeding Rs. 620 million — marking the highest single lottery payout ever recorded in the country.
