Police seeks public support to identify suspects wanted for the gun fire attack that happened yesterday (31) at Kotahena, Police Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekara told.

General Public could inform details that relevant to the incident through 071 8 591 753 to CID Director, ASP Gunasekara stated.

The case is handling by the CID at the moment. Several police teams headed by Western Province Senior DIG Pujitha jayasundara are assisting CID investigations.

It was revealed from preliminary police investigations that the gun fire attack on supporters of Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake might be related to a longstanding clash between two underworld factions in the area.
