Extensive damage has been caused by the fire at Former Minister C.B. Ratnayake’s house in Madiwela last morning.

 

Heavy damage has been caused in a bedroom and documents and jewelry was also destroyed.

 

However, no damage has been caused to the electricity meter and the ground floor.

 

Statements had been recorded from ten people by yesterday. However, Ratnayake told media that nothing could be said until the analyst’s report was released.

 

Ratnayake is contesting the upcoming election from the Nuwara Eliya District under the UPFA ticket.
