The order on the Reason Application filed by former MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardena seeking bail was fixed to August 10 by Colombo High Court Judge Padmini N. Ranawaka Gunathilake.

 

Sajin de Vass Gunwardena is in remand custody over allegedly misusing 23 vehicles of the Presidential Secretariat.

 

In the application, Gunawardena is seeking bail on medical grounds and facts related to the case.

 

However, the Attorney General objected to granting bail, arguing that there are no exceptional circumstances in the case which makes it possible to grant bail.
