The CID has sought the advice of the Attorney General on exhuming the body of the former Havelock's Captain Wasim Thajudeen, police sources said.

The CID recently informed Fort Magistrate's Court that Thajudeen's death was no accident. His death, which occurred in 2012, was earlier described as an accident.

The Fort Magistrate's Court ordered the Colombo JMO to submit the final post-mortem report before September 10.

Meanwhile, police security has been imposed at the site of Thajudeen's grave.
