Tamil National People’s Front leader Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam said that the Tamil people will not exclusively vote for the Tamil National Alliance.
Speaking at a press conference today in Vavuniya, Ponnambalam said that the popularity of the TNA is being slowly eroded. The northern people are increasingly dissatisfied with the TNA, he added.
Ponnambalam further maintained that his party will be able to win two seats from the Northern Province during the upcoming election.
Tamil National People’s Front was formed by the All Ceylon Tamil Congress and several other political leaders several years back. In 2010, the party contested in two districts. In Jaffna, it polled 4.28 percent of the vote and failed to win any seats.
