UPFA Western Provincial Council Member Roger Seneviratne said that the information about the mud-slinging posters targeting former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was received on the night of August 4 by the Maharagama election office of Wimal Weerawansa.

 

Speaking to Asian Mirror, Seneviratne said that the SLFP Dehiwela Chief Organizer was informed immediately about the press in Dharmarama Road in Pepiliyana. Police was also informed of the matter, he added. Thereafter, they went to the printing press with the police and a large group of supporters, Seneviratne also said.

 

He also mentioned that the former President and the former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa were informed of the incident.
