Former UPFA MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardena's bail application was today rejected by Colombo High Court Judge Padmini N. Ranawaka.

The petitioner had requested bail on exceptional grounds for health conditions.

However, the High Court Judge derected that his condition does not endanger his life. It does not come under exceptional circumstances, the Judge said.

Gunawardena is in remand custody over the alleged misuse of 23 vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat.
