Gammanpila Accuses Opponents Of Filing Fabricated Complaints

Pivithuru Hela Urumaya leader Udaya Gammanpila said that he was summoned to the CID today on fabricated charges of fraud.
 
Speaking to media after leaving the cID, he said that his opponents such as Patali Champika Ranawaka made complaints that he had swindled money from a businessman. Gammanpila added that this was done to bring sabotage his campaign.
 
He further pointed out that he had written to the Elections Commissioner on the matter. Therefore he was not summoned during the election period, Gammanpila said.
 
Meanwhile Gammanpila rejected the idea of a national government and said that those who enter into a national government will be committing political suicide.
