Former UPFA MP and elected MP from Anuradhapura District S.M. Chandrasena said that despite various injustices done by the UPFA and the SLFP, the people still have faith in him.
Speaking to media yesterday, he confirmed that a letter was sent to him, informing of his removal from the UPFA Executive Committee. He was earlier removed from the SLFP Central Committee as well, he recalled.
Chandrasena also said that he was deprived of the position of the Anuradhapura UPFA team leader during the recent general election. Furthermore, he was removed as Kekirawa SLFP Chief Organiser as well, he added.
Despite all the injustices done by the party, the people of Anuradhapura District returned him to parliament with a record number of preference votes, Chandrasena said.
