All Ceylon Makkal Congress led by Rishad Bathiudeen has suspended its party secretary Y.L.S. Hameed.

Updating a statement of Twitter, Bathiudeen said that the party Secretary will be suspended for a while.

Until further notice, Dr. AL Shah Jahan, a medical doctor from Galle, will be the party secretary, Bathiudeen said.

It is reported that the Secretary was suspended for allegedly violating party constitution.

The ACMC contested under the UNP ticket for the recent general election and won four seat. Another member was appointed through the national list.
