Water supply has been suspended to the Colombo Municipal Council, Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Municipal Council, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Council areas due to an oil contamination affecting the Kelani river.

 

The water supply to the three Municipal Council areas was restricted once earlier in the month, also due to an oil leak.
