President Maithripala Sirisena is due to meet the UPFA party leaders this morning, political reports said.
All party leaders in the UPFA have been invited to the meeting, National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa told media.
The meeting is expected to discuss the manner in which the UPFA is to work within the next parliament. The SLFP has already signed a MoU with the UNP on forming a national government. A considerable section of the elected MPs of the SLFP and many other partners of the UPFA have opposed this move.
President Sirisena is the Chairman of the UPFA.
