Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya fixed the trial against Keheliya Rambukwella and two others filed by the Bribery Commission for November 13.
The Bribery Commission filed a case on April 22 at the Colombo Magistrate’s Court against Keheliya Rambukwella, former SLRC Chairman Wimal Rubasinghe and former SLRC Director General Chandrapala Liyanage.
The complaint said that the SLRC incurred a loss of Rs. 990,000 as a result of the purchase of 600 GI pipes. The Chief Magistrate issued notice on the former Minister and the two others to appear in court on May 20. They were released on bail on that day by the Magistrate's Court.
