Former Defence Secreatry Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, former MP Duminda Silva and seven others were summoned to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry this morning.
According to the Commission's secretary Lacille De Silva, they were summoned in order to record statements over several allagations including that of using the staff of Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd for election campaign during the last presidential election.
Apart from Rajapaksa and Siva, Western Provincial Councillor Upali Kodikara, Dehiwela- Mount Lavinia Mayor Dhanasiri Amaratunga were also summoned to record statements. Rajapaksa was summoned to the Commission for the first time a few days ago.
