UNP Galle District MP and Minister of Mass Media and Parliamentary Affairs Gayantha Karunathilaka was appointed as the Cabinet Spokesperson, Government Information Department said.

Karunathilaka replaces former Cabinet Spokesman Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, who held the post from January this year.
