National Freedom Front, led by Minister Wimal Weerawansa, is to fire another cannon ball at the government by abstaining from voting on the no-confidence motion presented by the UNP against the ruling UPFA government.
Political sources confirmed Asian Mirror that the National Freedom Front would skip the vote on the no confidence which will be taken in Parliament tomorrow evening. However, that does not rule out the possibility of a last minute arrangement between the government and the National Freedom Front.
The JHU's position of the no confidence motion is still not clear. Both parties strongly criticized the conduct of the government over the Strategic Development Act.
Meanwhile, President Rajapaksa has strictly instructed all Parliamentarians of the UPFA to be present in Parliament during the debate and vote on the no confidence motion.
