A large number of Bo saplings have been planted by volunteers in the Kurgala Buddhist Holy site in a bid to grow a Bo forest around the temple area. The Chief Incumbent of the temple, Wathurukumbure Dhammaratana Thera has requested visitors to bring bo saplings or fruit saplings to be planted in the surroundings.
