The Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe visited Umandawa yesterday and met Siri Samanthabhadra Thero where he took part in a field tour around Umandawa.
Thereafter, the monthly scholarship of Rs.5000 awarded by Umandawa to 10 school children was conducted with his leadership, the Umandawa Global Village said.
“On this occasion, the Umandawa IMS (Integrated Management System) was also launched by the Governor of the Central Bank. This electronic system facilitates the activities at Umandawa to be carried out even more methodically, conveniently, and in a time-saving manner. Furthermore, visitors to Umandawa can also access a range of facilities by registering through a QR code upon entry,” it said.
A special permit issued to permanent members of the Umandawa Development Fund (UDF) was symbolically presented to the governor during this occasion.
