The parliamentary debate on the President's policy statement enters its second day today, following its commencement yesterday during the 1st session of Sri Lanka's 10th Parliament.

Speaker Dr. Ashoka Ranwala will chair the session, with the debate running from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by a scheduled vote at 5:00 PM.

Additionally, party leaders have agreed to hold a debate on the recent disaster caused by heavy rainfall. This discussion, proposed by the Opposition as an Adjournment Motion, will take place from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
