Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Uva Provincial Council Member Samantha Vidyarathna said that responsibilities should be given to qualified, experienced people, which is not happening always. He added that even the Education Minister was not qualified to the job.

He made this statement yesterday at an event in Badulla District.

Speaking further he said that this was not a phenomenon seen only in the Education Ministry. Many institutions were being handed over to inexperienced people, he added. This shows that "Good Governance" is going in the wrong way, more than the correct way, he added.

Vidyarathna also said that there was a lack of people with exemplary qualities in the country and if this shortcoming can be corrected, the country will have a better future.
