Former State Minister of Aviation Faizer Mustapha said that he and former State Minister of Higher Education prof. Rajiva Wijesinha are likely to meet President Maithripala Sirisena to discuss matters with regard to their positions in the government.
Mustapha resigned from his ministerial position two weeks ago and Prof. Wijesinha too has decided to resign from his position in protest of what he terms as undue interference by the cabinet minister.
Commenting on the matter Mustapha told Asian Mirror that the job role of state ministers under the present government in unclear.
He also said that although there were similar position under previous governments the job roles and definitions were clear.
However the president is yet to give a time and date for the meeting with the two UPFA politicians.
