Colombo High Court yesterday (17) ordered UPFA MP Duminda Silva and 12 other suspects to appear before the court on April 01.
They are accused of the murders of four persons including former Parliamentarian and Presidential Adviser Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra.
High Court Magistrate Devika de Livera Tennakoon further ordered the Registrar of Colombo Magistrate Court to transfer the first report of the case to the High Court.
The Attorney General filed indictment against the 13 suspects in High Court on March 03 on 17 charges including the killing of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, Dharshana Jayathilake, Mohamed Azmy and Manimel Kumaraswamy and inflicting gunshot injuries on Premachandra's bodyguard Rajapurage Gamini and participating in an unlawful assembly.
The 12 others indicted by the Attorney General were: Anura Thushara De Mel, Chandana Jagath Kumara, Chaminda Ravi Jayanath, Lanka Rasanjana, Malaka Sameera, Vidanagamage Amila, Sarath Bandara, Suranga Premalal, Saman Kumara Abeysinghe, Janaka Bandara, Rohana Marasinghe and Nagoda Liyanarachchige Chaminda.
