Colombo Magistrate Court today ordered Colombo Municipal Council Member Mahinda Kahandagamage to be remanded further till April 2.

The Chairman of the Federation of Self Employed Mahinda Kahandagamage was arrested by the Fraud Investigation Unit of the Wellawatte police on February 9.

In October 2014, it was transpired in court that the Self Employed Federation-a trade organization operating in the Colombo city was collecting a sum of Rs.1.8 million monthly from the members without maintaining proper account reports.
